Help Hollinger’s Island support “The Berry Strong Foundation”. A local foundation that supports families with children who are suffering with childhood cancers.
This Friday, September 19th, HIES students will be able to wear a YELLOW T-shirt and jeans for a $3 donation.
Proceeds go directly towards research that is dedicated to finding cures for childhood cancers, raising awareness, and helping our local cancer families.
Please help our school show support by participating in this event! Thank you!

There has been some confusion regarding bookbags for the 2025-2026 academic school year from a recent post on our Facebook page. Per MCPSS Policy, bookbags must be 100% clear. Parents who choose to provide clear bookbags should be advised that we must be able to view every item in the bookbag without opening it. Please call the school before purchasing. New clear bookbags will be handed out at Registration and Meet the Teacher.
